Character History:
Liam was born and raised in County Clare Ireland. He grew up and moved about in the western Irish Counties, taking work as an odd-job man. Eventually, he moved to Dublin to seek his fortune.

Many years ago in Dublin Laim met a trio of scholars and wealthy world travelers named Charles O'Boylan, Richard Arthur and Henry Boulton. The creator of the group, O'Boylan, took him in as an assistant and manservant, hoping to groom him as one of their gentlemanly companons. O'Boylan died only two years later. Arthur and Boulton kept Liam on as a member of O'Boylan's group and from time to time they send him on expeditions.

In late December, McCormack reached New York City. In early February, he booked rail passage to the Wild West of California.
